Stillwood camp retreat

Our youth band got asked to play at a youth retreat at Stillwood camp for 2 weekends. Steve
Klassen lead, Phil Toews played lead guitar, Dingo played bass, and i was on drums. there were a ton of kids. Close to 400 the first weekend, and around 250 the next weekend. The food was great, the sun shined for some parts, met new people, got little sleep, played hard, and enjoyed being away.

the first weekend...

Becky decided she needed a new sleeping bag, or 'tube' if you will. At first, she knew this bag was for her. After trying to sleep in it, ... not so much. You basically got nearly a foot of room by your feet- so that leaves out stretching. and the thing is for like -40 degrees, so she was very hot in it all night. haha silly goof. TAKE IT BACK!! We got a kick out of it.

The girls we cabin'd with.

It's like they've never seen a camera before.
Koenraad was the speaker. He is super cool.

This is one of Koenraad's kids. Her name is Tianna and steve wanted to take her home.

This is Koenraad, Tianna, and Steve Kroeker. Steve ran the camp.

For the second week, I stayed in this cabin with my camp mother Becky, and another leader, Beth. It was a nice upgrade!
This is my room. One bed for me, one bed for my junk, one bunk bed for my hat. Awesome.

They called this building James, because if you call it Gym ..thats just not good enough of a name. This is where the band would play.

We had some free time in the afternoon, so my friend Ben and I decided to go skateing. .. Or at least TRY to.

The coffee shop was really nice. The best part was.. slurpees. yes please.

Some cool art they had up everywhere; pictures from camp.
